The Health Clinic at AcadianaCares offers Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for our transgender clients. This care is given alongside primary care and mental health services. We are one of the only clinics in the state accepting Medicare and Medicaid while providing HRT to transgender people. Before initiating HRT with a client, we meet for a consultation and lab work. Once HRT has begun, we schedule regular follow-up visits to monitor the client’s health.
